Good coffee
remembers you.

One code for every cafe you love. Stamps that can't be lost, left at home or put through the wash — and a way to find the good stuff wherever you happen to be.

No app store needed. It lives on your home screen in about ten seconds.

How it works

One code. Every cafe.

Not a different card for every shop. The same code everywhere — the cafe is worked out when the barista accepts the scan, not before.

1

Show your code

Open the app. The code is the screen — no hunting through menus while there's a queue behind you.

2

They scan, you're stamped

First time at this cafe? Your card is created the moment they scan you. There is nothing to set up in advance.

3

Card full, coffee's on them

Your card tells you when a free one is waiting. Show the same code in redeem mode and it's done.

Camera being difficult?

There's a five-digit number under your code. Read it out and the barista types it in. It changes every day, so it stays short without being guessable.

Try it — this is how a card fills up in the app.

Your cards

Every cafe you go to, in one place.

No wallet full of soggy cardboard. Every card you hold sits in one list, each one showing exactly how close you are to the next free coffee.

  • Cards appear by themselves the first time you're stamped somewhere new.
  • A cafe with several shops can let one card count across all of them.
  • Every cafe sets its own reward — eight coffees, ten, whatever suits them.

Find my cafe

Good coffee in a town you don't know.

Every cafe on PerqUp is an independent that someone chose to put there. Open the map, see what's near you, read their story, look at the menu before you walk in.

Map or list

Sorted by how far you'd actually have to walk.

Save your locals

The ones you save sit at the top, always.

See the menu

What they serve, and what it costs, before you go.

Hours that are right

Kept up to date by the cafe, not by a directory.

Order ahead

Send it ahead. Walk in. Pick it up.

At cafes that turn it on, you can build your order from their real menu and send it before you get there. Your last order is already filled in, so the usual is one tap.

You get a real time, not a guess

The cafe taps 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes and you see the actual clock time. You can follow it from sent, to acknowledged, to ready — and cancel while it's still just sent.

No payment in the app. You pay at the counter the way you always have. This just gives them a head start.

The Coffee Passport

Twelve marks. Quietly earned.

A small collection that builds itself as you drink coffee. No points, no grinding, no leaderboard — just a record of where you've been and how often you went back.

Earned by being a regular

Marks come from showing up — your first stamp, your fifth visit to one cafe, the cafes you've collected.

Kept forever

Even if a cafe closes its doors, the mark stays. It's your collection, not their data.

Always one more in sight

The app shows the next mark and how close you are, so there's a reason to come back without anyone nagging you.

Notifications

You'll only ever hear from cafes you actually go to.

Joining PerqUp is not joining a mailing list. A cafe can only reach you if you hold a card with them, and the platform enforces that on the server — it isn't a setting anyone can get wrong.

Only your cafes

If you have never been stamped somewhere, they cannot message you. There is no way for a cafe to buy, borrow or upload a list of people.

A cap on messages

PerqUp caps how many messages anyone can receive, across every cafe together, so your phone never fills up with offers.

Off in one tap

Turn a cafe's messages off and keep your stamps. Turn all of them off and the app still works exactly the same.

How a message actually reaches you

Push, email, or just the inbox — the cafe writes it once and PerqUp works out how to get it to you.

1

A cafe writes to their regulars

"We've missed you — a flat white on us this week."

2

If you allowed notifications, it's a push

Straight to your phone, the same as any other app.

3

If you didn't, it's an email instead

Nothing is lost because you tapped "not now" on a permission prompt.

4

Either way it's in your inbox

The bell in the app is the real record. Push and email are just how it travels.

Common questions

Things people ask

No. PerqUp is free for anyone drinking the coffee, with no ads and no in-app purchases. Cafes pay a subscription billed every four weeks — that is the whole business model.
No app store. You open PerqUp in your browser and add it to your home screen. After that it opens full screen with its own icon, like any other app.
Your stamps live on the server, not on the phone. Sign in on any device and everything is there. If the camera won't cooperate at the counter, the five-digit code under your QR does the same job.
No. A cafe only ever sees your activity at their own shop. There is no cross-cafe view of a customer anywhere in the product, deliberately.
